R1T, the first electric five-passenger off-road vehicle is introduced by Rivian to the attendees of Overland West at Fort Tuthill Country Park in Flagstaff, Arizona.
“We’ve been coming to Overland for a few years now, learning from this community how they use their vehicles,” said Rivian Creative Director Larry Parker. “Much of what we’ve learned from Overland attendees has gone into our product design.”
The electric vehicle from Rivian features quad-motor all-wheel drive, class-leading ground clearance, and over 400 miles of range. The off-road vehicle is said to deliver immense torque which provides optimal performance on unpredictable terrain and with heavy loads. It also features a custom electric camp stove powered by the battery pack of the vehicle. The stove slides out from the gear tunnel of the vehicle for use, providing emissions-free kitchen capability.
Some of the other features that are worth knowing are 750 horsepower, 180kwh battery pack, 14 inches of ground clearance with adjustable air suspension, downloadable maps, built-in air compressor, alarmed gear security loops, and independent 200hp motors.
